The Dress!
First fitting- 3/30
Instead of shortening the entire dress, train and all, I decided to keep the length and just taper the side hems. We pinned up the hem in the front and the left side of the dress to get an idea of what it'll look like. We also figured out the bustle- a french bustle with 3 points. We tried a double french, but it didn't get the sides of the train off the floor enough.
I'm also having a cathedral length veil made.

After being stuck between two dresses, I finally decided on one- one that was completely different. And I LOVE it! The understated beauty and simple lines of the dress are really me. It's a brocade strapless dress with a beaded empire waist and beads throughout. After having some sizing issues, I decided to go with a regular size (as opposed to a petite). Here I am trying it on with the veil my mom wore at her wedding 31 years ago to the day. :)
Shoes!
My shoes! It took me months to find shoes that I liked.
I bought these shoes a while ago. They're white ballet flats covered in an eyelet sort of lace. I might put them on for dancing.
Flower Girl
Our flower girl will only be 11 months and she's going to be so adorable! She'll be wearing this dress in white with black polka dots.
